Josh Telugu Movie Review:

Lot of expectations was on the Telugu movie Josh. It got released on 5th Sept, 2009. In one way the film could be called as an AVERAGE. The director Vasu Verma used the college life as the Josh plot. All the star cast and crew members are quite young. I suppose producer Dil Raju wants to recreate the magic of “Kotta Bangaru Lokam” with totally new production crew.

The Telugu movie Josh is quiet different from that of hindi SRK starrer Josh. The movie is all about youth energy full of youth energy, activities and thoughts of new generation. Sandeep Chowta music is good and is popular among youngsters.

The main cast include Naga Chaitanya (son of Telugu popular actor Nagarjuna) and Karthika (daughter of another popular actress Radha). JD Chakravarthy is really the plus point of the film Josh.

As the movie was set against a college back drop, Nag Chaitanya did a splendid job. The main story is ass follows:

Sathya (Naga Chaitanya) is a young boy who has just entered college. He is a carefree and flamboyant young boy without any care in the world. He makes merry with friends all the time without a care in the world. The college Principal Prakash Raj finds in Sathya a bright student who is wasting his life with his wayward ways. Sathya does not pay any heed to the principal’s advice.

The son of the principal is also a student of the college. He dies while riding pillion in a bike race with Sathya driving the bike. Prakash Raj forgives Sathya and tells him that he is not to be blamed for the death of his son. This brings about a change in Sathya.

He quits college and comes to Hyderabad. Sathya meets Nithya (Krithika) a school teacher and they become good friends. Sathya finds that the situation in Hyderabad is no different and the students are ruing their lives by neglecting studies. The students are in the control of an ex-student JD Chakravarthy called as ‘Anna’. JD is a former student and now an aspiring politician.

Sathya joins the college. Why did he join the college? Does he continue his old ways or does he have a mission to accomplish. To learn about this, watch Josh on the silver screen.

As for as the performances are concerned, Naga Chaitanya is entertaining but needs to do much effort before camera. JD is quiet good in negative role. No cooments on the action of Prakash Raj. The comedy part of Sunil and Brahmanadam is just average. The first half of the film is entertaining and whereas the second part is quiet heavy. I suppose the director Vasu Varma wants to give message for the college students.

On the whole, Josh Telugu film is AVERAGE. It only entertains the college students but not the families.
